Often, it is irrational ideas such as the demand for perfection, that obstruct philosophical thinking.

Transformative Philosophy Coaching:
Challenging your Values, Philosophically
Not every problem requires you to talk to a psychologist. Everyday problems like relationship management, morality, religion, finance, mid-life crisis, and many other issues need not be diagnosed as a psychological problem, because most of the time, it's philosophical and logical in nature.
The Logic-Based Therapy and Consultation Institute (LBTCI) defines the role of philosophy consultants as helping their clients deal with many kinds of problems of living that people confront in the course of everyday life. However, I synthesize this with a coaching method to create philosophy coaching, which in hindsight is an improvement from the consulting approach.
